Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Jacksonville, FL, this contract position offers the opportunity to provide essential speech therapy support services within K-12 public schools. As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), you will work on-site, supporting a virtual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver high-quality speech services to students across multiple school locations in the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech therapy assistance to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade under the supervision of a virtual SLP
- Support individualized treatment plans and help implement speech-language interventions as outlined by the supervising SLP
- Manage an itinerant caseload, traveling between multiple school sites to serve the assigned schools
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to promote effective communication and student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant policies and licensure requirements
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) licensure is required
- Experience working in a K-12 educational setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and supervising clinicians
- Ability to manage multiple school assignments efficiently within a dynamic school district environment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards
